Air Circuit in 1909, held in Montichiari near Brescia, was an extraordinary event for the era and the development of aviation in Italy. The area of \u200b\u200bthe Band of Gold, on the border with Castenedolo, was already famous in that year for motor racing and engines were the passion of Brescia. So it was that thanks to men like Arturo Mercanti, then Secretary of the Touring Club, Brescia did not miss the opportunity to showcase this curious phenomenon of the flight on heavy vehicles, after the Wright brothers' first experience in the U.S. , which occurred in 1903, was spreading in France. The first circuit plane, as understood in international competition awards, was in fact in the French city of Reims in late August 1909, with the most famous pilots and planes at that time, including the Wright Brothers, Bleriot and Curtiss. It was agreed with the French merchants in the Second Circuit in Montichiari, from 8 to 20 September 1909, attended by 13 competitors including Mario Calderara, the first flight of Italian patent, which carried on the plane Flyer f..
